Valve Appeals Australia Ban of Left 4 Dead 2

Valve today announced the final verdict on ratings for the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2, while simultaneously announcing that they are going to appeal (no surprise there) Australia’s OFLC decision to refuse classification for the co-op zombie slaughterfest.

Here is a look at the status of L4D2 ratings are of this moment far:

COMPLETED RATINGS
PEGI (continental Europe) – 18+
ESRB (North America) – M
CERO (Japan) -Z (corresponds to Mature in US)
IFCO (Ireland) – Approved the title for classification.
USK (Germany) – 18+
Singapore – Mature 18
FPB (South Africa) – 18+
KGRB (Korea) -18+

PENDING RATINGS
OLFC New Zealand – In progress.
BBFC (UK) – In progress.
OFLC Australia – Refused to rate on September 19. Appealed September 23.

    I’m sadly expecting a version such as what valve did with tf2 for Germany.

    Man it must suck scene ass the peeps in Australia cant play l4d 2. Well then again they could just order it off eBay, but still it would be good to know that u could just go and pick it up at ur local game stop. Well thats not my problem sorry Australia
