The Spiker. New Special Infected?
Rumor has it that some attendees at Comic-Con have heard details from a loose-mouthed Valve employee about a new special infected in L4D2 called “The Spiker”. The Spiker, true to his name, has spikes all over his body. Like the boomer, he will rush into the group of survivors and then unleash all of his spikes into the group. The spikes go in all directions so they hurt everybody.
As of right now, this is still only a rumor but that sounds pretty awesome. If true, that would mean that now three of the four new special infected in the sequel have been revealed with The Charger and The Spitter having already been confirmed to be in the game.
wow….pretty much the same thing as a Spitter then? So the Spiker just runs to the group, shoots spikes and runs away? That’s lame…
hmm, i agree, but these three new infected seem to be sharing the same goal of splitting or stop-camping the survivors, id like to see a ne SI with a Miscellanious purpose.
i cant wait for play whit the new special infecteds in versus mode !
umm not to bad of an idea, but after seeing what the spitter looks like I wanna see what the Spiker looks like…
I hope this is just a rumor because this honestly seems like its getting a little too much like X-Men
If all this new bosses are anti-camping bosses I wonder how the Survivel mode will be…
I cant wait for L4D2 The weapons look awesome and its now more realistic, now theres not going to be 4 med packs theres going to be less sometimes so players have to think o theres only 3 med’s and i have green health and he has red

Well, you’re wrong. The Spiker runs into the survivors, unleashing his spikes and then he dies, just like the boomer.

thye are meant to go off of the first l4d, where infected were simply meant to do certain things. Now that they arre focused on a main objective “split up and destroy”, they can make versus more interesting. 4 player offline coop and offline versus would be something i would like to add, even if it is off-topic

well for those that actually want to know, they where just talking about the winning idea for a new spec infected from a contest they had and the haggard won, they just called him the spiker and he will not show his face in the upcoming zombie apocalypse

i dont mind them adding it but i want them to add the screamer cause all the other infected are simmalare to the boomer and tank.
You guyz are stupid, the spitter is meant to keep the group from advancing, and the spiker keeps people from grouping together in corners and such like in L4D
i did see somting simalar on heavy rain on l4d2 but it turnded out to be a jockey
it was near a bush!!!
