Left 4 Dead Maps Playable in L4D2
If you bought Left 4 Dead 2 on the PC, you might be pleased to hear that some modders have figured out a way to import all of the maps from Left 4 Dead into Left 4 Dead 2, playable with the new infected, new survivors, and the baseball bat. It’s a complex process compared to most mods, and it suffers from a few major problems at the time of writing, unfortunately.
The only new weapon that works is the bat, most of the campaigns crash on certain events, and some of the switches don’t work. If you can get past this, however, you’ve got 5 new expertly designed maps to play around with. I’m expecting that at some point someone (possibly even Valve) will create working versions of all of these maps for Left 4 Dead 2, so for now my advice is to keep your game files safe, and admire the work from a distance. I just hope that they patch in Francis as a playable character. I miss him terribly.

I AGREE WITH YOU DMAN!!! I can’t even beat the swamp fever campaign without lagging out of the game. One time, I was so close to winning, and I killed one of the two tanks, but the lag was so bad, that the other tank all of a sudden appeared right in front of me. I mean, seriously?
Ya I agree with u guys. There is a giant lag on swamp fever. I sometimes think it is just trying to make it hard for u. On shanty town of swamp fever at the horde there is big lagging. I don’ t play on to. The lag is on single player. Please valve fix the lag.
I read a list of Left 4 Dead 2`s bugs in steam forums, and the lag problem is there. I think you guys need to delete the game local content and reinstall the game

I have everything on the highest i go on swamp fever on shanty town my ping is 1 and there is no lag.
Not exactly, just because Xbox 360 is facing the same exact problems, but NOT on single player. Players are constantly lagging out of games or quitting because of lag, especially on versus and scavenge. I don’t know if it’s because of too many players on at once or what, but it’s ruining the online gameplay.
yeah, because of the lag, i hate this game. i mean this is the best game ever, in my opinon. but i cant play online. ive only been able to play single player. Someone needs to do something about this. Either microsoft or valve
I have it on XBOX, so I don’t have a shitty computer. I’m using it on an XBOX 360 Elite, so it should be faster than usual. And high speed wifi… wtf?!

the winner was announced already.
MW2 had a slight problem like this, especially on the PS3, mostly just with managing the thousands of lobbies it was supporting. Apparently the multiplayer wasn’t working right because of a system overload.

Since Valve hasn’t said anything yet, I guess a system overload is likely (preorders for this game were 4 or 5 times that of the original all). Also, I think this will be Valve’s most popular game ever so they’re not knowledgeable about how to handle this many people.

That’s so weird though. I played modern warfare for a week straight with only one problem of lag, which was because my router short circuiting from a flood. Then I played left 4 dead 2 and had so many problems. The lag was so bad in Hard Rain and Swamp Fever that I accidentally disturbed like 5 witches. I got so pissed off, I completed the rest of the campaigns solo, and with my sister. I wanted to beat The parish on realism, but noooo because the lag is awful. Valve must fix this problem.

Some people don’t have the problem. My friend has had no lag problems and he has had left 4 dead 2 since day one. But I, on the other hand, do have a problem.
