Left 4 Dead 2 Item: The Bile Bomb
You might have already found out about the bile bomb via the Left 4 Dead 2 achievements list, but if you haven’t, here’s information about it.
Bile Bomb Related Achievements
ROBBED ZOMBIE:
Collect 10 vials of Boomer vomit from infected CEDA agents you have killed.
SEPTIC TANK:
Use a bile bomb on a Tank.
What We Know
Currently, we cannot confirm what it is or what it is, as that information has not been revealed by Valve yet. However, we do know that CEDA collects vials of Boomer bile, and after they were infected/killed, these vials were left in various pockets of their clothes.
Some Ideas on What it Could Be
And here are the thoughts of some players who might have an idea of what it is and what it does. Please note that the below ideas suggest only what it could be and do, and are not actually confirmed.
-The Survivors pick them up, and use them as a bomb- similar to the pipe bomb. The Boomer bile is said in the first game to somehow draw the horde to where it is, so using deductive reasoning, the bile bomb acts as a distraction for the horde much like the pipe bomb with the exception that it doesn’t blow up, and you have to kill them infected yourselves.
-There is an achievement for throwing the bile bomb at a Tank, therefore by logic means the zombies will all attack the tank, but of course just slow him down a bit, a punch can throw half of them flying.
-Throwing the bile bomb at a Tank will blind him temporarily, just like how bile blinds Survivors.

I think the first and second ideas are the right
from the video it looks like the first idea is right because coach throws it then off in the distance theres a horde grouped together

Well, its good to know we will get to see gameplay of EVERYTHING on the 28 or 29.
I don’t think we’ll get to see gameplay of EVERYTHING. since they’re not done editing the survivors and levels and zombies…. but we will get a good idea. Hopefully there WILL be the fourth special infected.
I think they said they’re gonna cut it, with the Jockey now we’ll have to deal with so much.

Will be REALLY great… BUT if you are covered in Bile, and you throw a bile bomb… Is it… like a 50/50 chance that the horde will attack you or the bile? Or… is it that just whatever is closer they go for it?
id probly say what evers closer cause zombies are gettin lazy these days

in the hard rain interview they showed the Bile Bomb on the tank at the very end . i want to see what the common infected can do to the tank.
Haha. Pretty much nothing would be my guess. The tank rapes common infected. So they will probably only get in the way, slowing the tank down before it gets to you.
1.) I like the country versions of the boomer and the smoker, the smoker looks so gnarley xD
2.) I want to see tank and charger arm wrestle
and if tank loses he can rip the chargers gimp arm out xD
3.) can you play as charger normally? or is it something like “you will become the charger” since it has like 2x normal special infected health right?
No, the charger is like being the smoker or hunter when it comes down to chances. He is considered a normal special infected. So plenty of play time.
