Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Hits Later This Month… For Some

Left 4 Dead 2′s demo will hit in early November, but people who pre-order the game will get it a week early, Valve announced today.
The Left 4 Dead 2 demo will include gameplay from The Parish campaign, set in the New Orleans’ French Quarter. The demo will let one to four players game together online or locally on both the Xbox 360 and PC versions. The Xbox 360 version of the game will include split-screen mode. The demo will also feature all of the new boss infected zombies and melee weapons found in the full game.
The demo will be available to everyone on Nov. PC gamers and Xbox Live Gold members get to check the demo out starting Nov. 3 and people who pre-oder the game will get access to the demo on Oct. 27.
Left 4 Dead 2 will be hitting the PC and Xbox 360 on Nov. 17.

Isn’t this old news? Well anyway I pre-ordered this the DAY I was told about this about two weeks ago. I don’t know how it’s going to work though…
I have over 1000 Emails and new emails don’t show up so if it comes through email im screwed.
I asked at the Gamespot where I preordered…and from the sound of it…they don’t really seem to get how this is supposed to work either. Either through a shipped disc, or downloadable content made avalible…but as of last week the folks there were just as much in the dark.
Thats why you buy off Steam! They got all that stuff dealt with with a bunch of codes and such.
Well if you ordered off of Steam, you get an email containing the code and instructions on how to download, but if you reserved the game at a retailer like GameStop, just go to the store on the 27th and pick up a download card with the same code and instructions as the Steam downloaders got. I called GameStop earlier this week and thats how they said retailers were handling it.
No I don’t think so, because when L4D was released I got the demo early automatically like every other steam pre-orderer.
*Waits patiently*
CANT WAIT ONLY 30 MORE DAYS
“No I don’t think so, because when L4D was released I got the demo early automatically like every other steam pre-orderer.”
@Banshee: Well of course you did, there was no time exclusive demo access for L4D1, it was released for everyone at the same time, not just preorderers. L4D2 has time exclusive demo access (what this article was about in the first place…), so unless you preordered it, you’ll have to wait until November 3rd for the demo.
